In the meantime, one thing you can do is enable Monitor Splitting in the DisplayFusion Monitor Configuration window, and disable all the checkboxes except "Wallpaper" in that window. One way I've had for making use of my portait images in a landscape desktop setting is creating a single picture out of them with several side by side. Usually I do this with CDisplay (a comic viewing program), by setting it to two-page mode, where it takes two images from an archive/folder in alphabetical order, puts them next to each other and fits by height (only images that are either square or portait orientation are used, landscape images are deemed to be two-pagers already), then fills the surrounding areas with an automatically picked background color (different one for both images, if necessary). I then take a screenshot of that and save it in a wallpaper folder.

It'd be a great feature (strictly IMO) if DisplayFusion could do this when it happens upon a portrait image (or square, or a landscape that's not wide enough to fill the screen when fit by height...), basically picking more portrait images from the selected folders until it can cover the whole screen with them (I personally wouldn't mind it if edges were clipped) and then set that as the background. It could create a wonderful polyptych-like effect.

Don't know how resource intensive it'd be though... Well, it'd be an option anyway. Just an idea... =) ]]>
