I was able to get the trigger working to switch monitor profiles. I haven't tried the window position profile yet, but I plan to.

I expect there are several different heuristics you could use to re-maximize windows following a change in monitor profile. The simplest one would be for all maximized windows, re-maximize them in the new virtual monitor which they are the most contained in.

Switching the Monitor Profile when an application launches can be done. I've attached a screenshot for reference. You'll find the "Load Monitor Profile" fucntion in the "Run Function" action.

Moving all of the open windows into the new layout is a bit trickier. One thing you could do is move them manually the first time, then save them as a Window Position Profile. You can then assign that Window Position Profile to the Monitor Profile, and it will get automatically loaded when the Monitor Profile is detected.

Hope that helps!

Hello! Thank you for this wonderful piece of software!

There are some things that I would like to do with triggers, but it doesn't seem like I currently can.

I have a super ultra-wide screen (5120x1440). Ordinarily I use a monitor profile in DisplayFusion called "dual" which divides the screen into 2560x1440 virtual monitors (not sure if that is the correct term). I would like to create a trigger that when a specific application (or group of applications) is run, the following things happen:

1. Switch from my "Dual" monitor profile to another called "Mid", which is one central 2560x1440 virtual monitor, and on the left and right side are 1280x1440 virtual monitors.
2. Re-maximize all maximized windows, snapping them to the new profile

As far as I can see, neither of these two actions are possible.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
