• Open Windows Task Manager
• Click View > Add Columns
• Enable the "GDI objects" column
• Let me know the GDI objects value for DisplayFusion.exe

Then, a few weeks ago, I started to have problems. After my computer had been on a while, it would start to get... laggy. Like my mouse cursor would randomly freeze up. It didn't seem like anything else froze up - there were no CPU usage spikes and video, for example, would continue playing.

After much troubleshooting, I discovered that as soon as I exited the Display Fusion taskbar program, the problem would stop right away. If I started it up again, it would immediately return (so restarting DF does nothing). I leave my system on 24x7 and Remote Desktop to it a lot, and I found that the only way I could get Display Fusion to work again was a full reboot... and after 12-24 hours, the laggy problem would return.

So, I updated to the latest beta a few days ago. At first I thought the problem was solved... but it's not. It lasted longer - I got maybe a day or two before it came back, but it did come back. I'm thinking it's perhaps triggered by RDC connections, or even a windows update that happened in the last few weeks (it just came up one day out of the blue).

Any suggestions, or am I going to have to give up using DF? ]]>
