Ok, thanks. I was just hoping that you guys may have run into this before and had a fix. It’s a real drag for me to deal with.

It’s not that apps get stuck on a screen that is not on but that it moves everything around just because I turn on the TV and it only does it sometimes. Like I’ll have my normal setup left screen 2560x1600 and the right screen at 1600x2560. If I turn on the TV that is on the HDMI port it will (sometimes) turn off the right display and set the left display to 1920x1080. What’s more fun is that if I set it to 1920x1080 first then turn on the TV it will (sometimes) set me left screen to 2560x1600. It like it sees a new display and just toggles the setup. <img src="https://www.displayfusion.com/MediaCommon/SVGs/FontAwesome/face-grimace.light.svg" alt="???" style="box-sizing:border-box;position:relative;overflow:hidden;vertical-align:middle !important;width:16px;height:16px;" HelpButtonData="???" Unfortunately this isn't something we'd be able to provide in DisplayFusion. However, the "Move all windows to current monitor" HotKey in DisplayFusion might help you out. If you set a key combination on that HotKey, then you can use it to move everything to the monitor that the mouse is currently on, so when the apps get stuck on a disabled monitor, they're moved over all at once
Hope that helps!

I don’t know if it’s a Windows 7 thing or just a driver thing but it’s a driving me nuts thing. I use 4 displays, two of them are TVs. All are connected to an AMD HD5970. When I have everything set up the way I want the screens will (sometimes) go all crazy, change resolutions and move my open apps around when one of the TV’s or monitors is turned on or off.

It would be cool if display fusion could somehow block this incredibly ill-conceived feature. I guess the idea was that it would be nice for users to have everything automatically moved to the remaining display rather than trapped on one that you can no longer see but even if I turn off both my displays it does this. I’ve searched and searched and can find no way to turn it off.

Some people have used the AMD registry setting DMMEnableDDCPolling but I don’t have this in my registry. Other say that there are presses or services that you can disable but I can’t get that to work either.
