Update (ended up getting a 1070 instead):
It appears that on the desktop I can mirror my 4k monitor to a 1080p tv, while still receiving a 4k signal on my monitor.
However this doesn't seem to work for games that run FullScreen. Luckily most games can run in Full-screen(windowed)/Window(no border) mode. (which is my preference anyways, because I have a second monitor that I like to use simultaneously as I game.

It should be noted though that there is a slight performance hit (5-20% depending on what you have open) because other apps have access to the GPU in this mode (I hear chrome is a big offender)

I currently have 3 screens (2 on my desk in extended mode, and 1 above my bed mirroring my primary display)
I am looking to upgrade the 2 on my desk to 4k, however I expect to potentially run into issues trying to mirror the display properly. I am intending on buying a GTX 1060 (nvidia) and am wondering if there are any decent workarounds that don't limit my primary display to 1080p, while still allow me to use 4k on my desk.

I know display fusion doesnt solve this issue, however its related enough that someone in the community might be able to shed some insight. Thanks
