The good news is that I have found the source of the problem. The bad news is that I can't really fix it. The problem lies with the Windows GDI+ sub-system not being able to load the JPEG file. GDI+ is what DisplayFusion (and all .NET applications) rely on to do image processing. However, it appears that this GDI+ bug has been fixed in Windows and it works just fine with DisplayFusion in Windows 7. I can confirm this error. When I tried to use the attached wallpaper it gave me the same error:

"An error has occurred while trying to load Image:C:\Users\...\Desktop\416516906_80c369267e Before The Storm_O.jpg
A generic error occurred in GDI+."

I suspect the file is to blame. Paint.NET also gave an error when I tried to open it. I converted it to bmp and it works fine now. After you do this, use DisplayFusion to try and change your wallpaper a few times. If you still get this error can you please send me the resulting log file? The program loads properly however, when I try to use a wallpaper it keeps giving the error "A generic error occurred in GDI+".

It won't load any wallpaper in either monitor. I have a viewsonic and a Hanns-G monitor, with a nVidia 8500GT video card.

Any ideas?
