I hope that in (1) that when DisplayFusion checks for updates on system startup that it does this check after a 1-2 minute delay to permit time for the network adapters to engage and the system to stabilize a bit on reboot. It is my experience that programs that check for updates on system reboot will slow down the reboot process as system and security programs establish network connections, etc. This is particularly bad if the third party program's servers are down at the time of the check for updates occur.

Thank you for the excellent feedback. Let me see if I can cover all of your points:

1. I thought about doing this, but didn't want to crowd the context menu more than it is. DisplayFusion will check for updates on start-up, and it will check for updates once per day (new in 3.1.6) while it is running.
2. Adding support for multi-monitor screensavers is in my plan, but I don't think that triggering a screensaver on one monitor and not another is possible.
3. I have been thinking about a better way to handle these "advanced" settings, and I'm sure I'll come up with something for the next major version (3.2).
4. This is something that is frequently requested. I have been thinking of different ways to do this, while keeping the system impact to a minimum. I'm planning something for version 3.2.
5. Once I get a better taskbar sizing method in place (like dragging to resize) I'm sure this will come.
6. Something I have on my backburner, but I'm not sure when I'll have time to add it.

Please let me know if I didn't cover something satisfactorily and I'll try to clarify. Thanks!

As a newly licensed(2) user of DisplayFusion, I would like to submit some suggestions for enhancements of future versions, recognizing that some of the suggestions have already been submitted by other users. I'm just chiming my support of these suggestions.

First, let me emphasize that I am most impressed by the capabilities of the current version of DF and the level of user support provided on this product. Experiencing the rapid fire interaction on the forum was a key factor in my decision to license DisplayFusion. Thank you for your support and expertise.

Suggestions:

1. Incorporate "Check for Updates" in the right-click menu of the notification tray DF icon. Visibility and ease of access encourages users to maintain their program at the latest release version.

2. Add multi-monitor screensaver support such that each monitor can have its own screensaver. If possible, allow individual screensaver activation based on the activity of the individual monitors.

3. In the settings window, add an "Advanced" tab. In this section, allow for the selection of each of the Advanced DisplayFusion Settings and invoke the registry modification(s) automatically for the user. Allow for reversing the setting. This would eliminate the possibility of users improperly modifying the registry and possibly damaging Windows. Ensure that these registry modifications are proper for both 32-bit and 64-bit systems.

4. Enhance the algorithm for displaying multiple wallpapers so that the same wallpaper does not appear too frequently. Personally, I keep all my wallpapers in a "My Wallpapers" folder located in My Documents and would like DF to randomly display them per monitor.

5. Allow each monitor's task bar to have its own width.

6. Allow the system clock to be selectively displayed on each monitor's task bar.

Thanks for listening.
