Trying to work out what else I might done that could have impacted it that I am not doing now. Will report back if I work it out.

I did run DCS and FS2020 recently... I usually run them in VR but didn't those times as I was just updating them. I have to turn on "Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode" and turn it off again and the problem is fixed until next time.

I see other people with taskbar issues but haven't spotted this one.
