Hi, you can also tweak certain windows settings to lower down overall windows 10 CPU usage. Here are a few tips.

Adjust system for best performance
Step 1: – Search view advanced system settings in start menu search box.
Step 2: – Now, click on view advanced system settings.
Step 3: – Now, choose adjust for best performance. Finally choose apply and then click ok. Finally restart your PC.

Disable Background apps running on windows 10
Go to Settings -> Privacy -> Background apps and turn all of them off.

Update Outdated drivers
Sometimes this may also be the cause

Yeah, the .NET image library isn't the most efficient, and at the moment it's not really feasible to use a different image library

It takes that much CPU just to change my wallpaper? WOW!

Thanks, I'll have to change that, I had no idea it took THAT much CPU, & expected maybe 3-5% at most! >.<

Your troubleshooting info indicates that the wallpaper is set to change at 45 seconds and 60 seconds for monitors 1 and 2. That'd definitely be whats generating the CPU activity

Not sure if this is related or not, but I also seem to get high CPU usage from Displayfusion, only mine is intermittent...

about 5x per minute or so "Displayfusion" & "Displayfusion Settings" Jump up to 10-20% CPU usage on my i5 3570K@4.6GHz. This is while the system is sitting completely idle. It's been doing this through many versions now(pretty much since I got the program) & while not a huge concern, it does seem to effect performance under high stress situations.

Would you be able to attach a debug log as well?

On the Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal"
Restart DisplayFusion
Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
Send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
Disable debug logging after sending the log

High CPU on new Windows 10 install

Hi

I know this has been posted before, but the last one was some time ago, and I'm using a different (newer) version. A couple weeks ago I upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 (64-bit). All good. And I like the new functionality in Win10. Great.

Except, the DisplayFusion Hook App (32 bit) constantly uses about 14% of my CPU. It's a Intel i7 965E, so 14% is some significant flops! I'm running version 7.3.1., and 4 monitors, but most features are set pretty conservatively. I've attached my troubleshooting log, and look forward to any help or suggestions you can offer.
