I've found that just about any other problem I've had was either my own mistake or because I didn't know about some feature.
So far, this appears to be the only genuinely missing functionality that I'd use not just every day, but probably 10 times per hour.

I'd say if keeping the old functionality alive for those who prefer it is an issue, just add an additional sub-option to "Move mouse cursor proportionally between monitors".

However, after using the feature I found that it doesn't work correctly.

This is especially annoying when I have a window with a title bar in the top-right of my lower monitor because if I miss the title bar and move off the top of the screen, I must first bring the mouse back down to the lower monitor and then move it back to the right. Sometimes I make this mistake 2-3 times in a row before I finally am able to click on the title bar. What feature do I turn on to fix this or is it a bug?

In addition, if I move my mouse diagonally down and to the right while on the top monitor it will repeatedly be placed at the bottom-right corner of the top monitor. This means that I cannot get my mouse to the lower monitor unless I exclusively move the mouse down until it is well within the lower monitor AND THEN move it right. This is very counter-intuitive stuff..

However, I believe it would be better if it proportionally align the cursor position when changing screen. Take a look at the attached image.

Currently repositioning the cursor is calculated in pixels. So if this was the 500px from the top on the first screen, it continues to 500px on the second screen. The problem occurs when a resolution of one is higher than the other. Let's use the example of the resolution 1200x800 and 800x600.

When the mouse cursor is in 500px position on the second screen, and moves to the first screen, the position will continue to 500px. This seems right so far. But if the cursor is in the 700px, the first screen, and move to the second monitor, it will be moved to the highest possible position, ie 600px. Now, if you move the mouse back to the first screen, it will return 600px, not 700px, as it was before. This happens because it is calculated by pixels, not by percentage.

I suggest you switch to percentage mode, so move the cursor position of a screen 80% to 80% of another screen. ]]>
