What make and model of notebook do you have? (It should be written on the bottom - like Sony Vaio XK400 or something).

It sounds like Windows is resetting your monitor layout every time you connect a new monitor (or dock). What type of video card does your laptop have, and do you have the latest software installed for it? Does it have any options for remembering your monitor layout? Currently, DisplayFusion doesn't provide a way to change resolutions or re-arrange your monitor layout. This may come in a future release, but for now you might be stuck with having to re-arrange them each time, unless your video card software can handle it.

Not a big deal, because I tend to dock for the day and stay docked, but just wondering if that's fixable. I just downloaded the latest and greatest, so I'll find out Monday a.m. if it is still happening, but I knew I'd forget to post if I didn't post now.

Thanks for making this product. Everytime I hit the keyboard shortcut to move a window to the other monitor it makes me so happy. :-D Before I had to shrink the window, drag it over and then enlarge it again. I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems. I know that sometimes the monitor names don't display properly in the DisplayFusion window, but it shouldn't affect the Windows display properties window. As for the background image skewing, would you be able to post a picture of exactly what is going on? If a screenshot won't do it justice then maybe snap a quick picture with a digital camera? Also, can you post a screenshot of the windows display properties window with the incorrect monitor names, so I can see how your monitors are aligned?

Since loading DisplayFusion, the display properties in the control panel now seems to think both of my monitors are plug and play monitors, so no matter what DisplayFusion settings I try to use, my pic on my laptop screen is badly skewed and my settings are all off for resolution. Is there a way to fix this (other than uninstallying DisplayFusion, which I love for the keyboard shortcuts)? ]]>
