Monitor Splitting:

Open the DisplayFusion Monitor Configuration window
Click the Splits and Padding button
Click the Preset Splits button and choose 4x1
Click OK, and OK again
Now you can maximize windows into each split, and if you want a window to span the whole monitor, hold Shift while clicking Maximize

Custom Functions:

Open the Settings > Functions tab
Click Add Custom
Configure the first one like the attached "Custom Function 1" screenshot
Repeat steps 1-3 for the other 3 Custom Functions (note that your X values may be different than mine, depending on the screen resolution)

With my old monitor, I had three ... left, centre and right, each 33% width

But now got a nice new monitor with increased resolution, so I'd like to have four, each at 25% ... left, centre left, centre right and right

But I can't see anything that'll do this in the window alignment options :-(
