Is it possible that losing the DVD drive was enough to trip Windows' "significant hardware change" and deactivate? Then, .net stopped working, and consequently Display Fusion.

Just a random theory, though I wouldn't think a DVD drive would be enough to trigger that, and I would think you would get some kind of prompt from Windows if it were the case.

I went to watch a DVD and my tray wouldn't even eject. There were no lights on it either, it didn't even look like it was getting power. I opened up the side of my tower, and sure enough the power cable had come off. I plugged it back in, my system detected the DVD drive, and now Display Fusion works fine again.

I haven't done any other hardware or software changes and can't imagine how that could possibly make a difference, but I'm not going to argue. Everything works fine now. <img src="https://www.displayfusion.com/MediaCommon/SVGs/FontAwesome/face-grimace.light.svg" alt=":?" style="box-sizing:border-box;position:relative;overflow:hidden;vertical-align:middle !important;width:16px;height:16px;" HelpButtonData=":?"
