Is there a way to achieve the following functionality:
Minimize a specific program's window to a DisplayFusion's tray menu ?
Some software doesn't have a tray icon, so I'm worried that once minimized, I won't be able to retrieve it. DisplayFusion could act like a Staging Area — a place to temporarily store hidden but still opened window.
Detecting and auto-minimizing windows is already straightforward. What I'm looking for is an additional menu — perhaps called "Hidden Window List" — accessible by right-clicking the DisplayFusion tray icon, allowing users to restore any previously auto-minimized windows.
There's an open-source program on Github that offers similar functionality to what I'm describing, and its homepage includes a screenshot(or check the post's attachment). It works exactly like the tray menu I mentioned.

In the DisplayFusion Settings > Functions tab, there's a function called "Minimize Window to System Tray" that should do this for you.
In fact, I'm actually aware of the "Minimize Window to System Tray" function — that's sends window to the Windows system tray area.
What I'm describing is different: I'd like windows to be hidden into a custom sub-menu inside DisplayFusion's own tray icon right-click menu (like Traynard's "Minimize to Tray Menu" vs "Minimize to Tray Icon"). That way, I can restore them from a clean list within DisplayFusion, not cluttering the system tray with extra icons.
So this isn't about the existing system tray minimization — it's about a dedicated "Hidden Window List" menu inside DisplayFusion's tray context menu.
There's an even better app called PS Tray Factory which should do everything you want without adding more bloat to DF.
