Hi,

So I'm loving the software, just a few questions on how to tune it to enhance the experience even further. These are minor points to be fair.

My setup:
I have two 43" 4K monitors split generally into 8 logical screens of 1920x1080 each, and a single 1920x1080 24" which I use to be able to share my screen efficiently to others, the mortals who use <4K monitors Some of the screens are sub-split into smaller vertical ones for smaller apps. This works great so far.

The most mileage I get is from the "move window to current monitor and maximize" shortcut in combinations with the specific splits.

So my minor wonderings:

1) Sometimes I would like to enlarge a window beyond 1920x1080, but not quite 3840x2160, which would hide all apps from 1 physical monitor, whereasI want to keep an eye on bits of them (like top of outlook inbox).
There is a function "move to center and set to 75% of monitor", but it doesn't ignore monitor splits, and doesn't move to the monitor where the mouse is, which would be optimal. From my perspective, that function or a way to obtain it with existing functionality would be nice. Or, alternatively or additionally, a way to gradually increase/decrease window size ignoring monitor splits (given that it is already centered ignoring splits).

2) For Excel spreadsheets and the like, I would possibly like to be able to break free of the monitor splits selectively as well, for example expand window to bottom of monitor ignoring splits (or to top because why not), and same for left and right. Anything that saves me from the dreaded dragging of the window edge which was so commonplace before DisplayFusion. That's a very minor point though, and the need would mostly be covered if (1) was possible.

3) Since I use DisplayLink USB 3.0 4K adapter, and I occasionally lose the monitor connection due to USB well, instability, the option I'm looking for is to be able to quickly restore all original positions of the windows after they get all crammed into the single 24" (which is not using USB).

I experimented with save/restore windows position shortcut, works OK, but doesn't work for initial setup after turning PC on as it has no saves to draw from then.
Alternatively there is the window position profile, but it doesn't discern between apps of same name. Again, not that much of an issue as many are named differently, but still would be interested if there was a way to fine tune it.

I may have jumped the gun slightly on those questions; I mostly worked out how to achieve what I wanted now with use of existing features and some good old ingenuity if I may say so .

One thing I noticed is that with multimonitor taskbar on Win7 there seems to be no way to choose which is to be the standard Windows taskbar, which has an advantage of having the toolbar-folders contents viewable and chooseable from a tooltip by 1 click. I thought the lowermost leftmost taskbar of primary monitor will always be the standard one, but after I split that screen further, the standard one moved to the next screen on the right on the same monitor...(?)

Also, is there a way to prevent the taskbars from being displayed on top of windowed apps?

In terms of mirroring windows, would there be an option to mirror every new window I activate the option for, to the same DF window, rather than opening a new DF window each time for each new window I choose to share?

This would have much use in terms of circumventing the 4K big screen sharing trouble, because with Skype for business, you can select to share an application - you would then choose - once - the DF mirrored app, and as per need, toggle other windows you want to share to be mirrored in that same DF app, without having to bring up Skype sharing options and selecting new window again.

Either would achieve the goal, but to keep things transparent for remote viewers, I would think a keyboard shortcut to mirror the current window to the same DF window that is already open (stopping the mirroring between it and the previous window that was being mirrored), would be perfect (option #2).

If the DF window could be made borderless as well (again for transparency vis-a-vis remote viewers - while keeping the border/header of the window that is being mirrored, inside the DF window), that would be aces!
Also, if the DF window didn't necessarily pop-up to front per each change of mirroring, but could stay minimized after being minimized (for screen real-estate economy purposes).
Would also be good to make sure, that the DF window keeps the size of the window being mirrored - i.e. I would for my part make sure that I always maximize to a 1080p virtual screen the window that I want to share, then use the hotkey to mirror it, and it would be good if the DF window didn't resize itself per each change of mirroring (which would require to bring it up, make 1080p, then minimize again).
