Hi there... I'm using DF Pro 9.7 Beta on Windows 7, 64bit.

Issue #1: As of late the windows start button has decided to hide behind the taskbar on faded monitors (see attached jpg). I've instructed DisplayFusion to add a taskbar to every monitor, and set the taskbars to "auto-hide," and set monitor fading to "Fade Non-Current Monitors." The start button hides for a second or so, every time the taskbar comes out of auto-hide.

Issue #2: Application windows do not always open on the monitor from which they are opened. e.g. I open the Chrome browser from the monitor #4 taskbar, but if Chrome is already open on monitor #2 the new window opens on monitor #2 as well.

Which leads me to a feature request. After right-clicking an application icon on the taskbar one item in the DisplayFusion context menu reads "Move Window to Next Monitor." It would be extremely helpful to have a "Move Window to THIS Monitor" function, which automatically moves the targeted window to whichever monitor is currently being used.

Thanks for your time!

#1 I think I can reproduce this issue here. After the Start button comes to the front, it stays there until the next hide/show cycle, correct?

#2 You can add other functions to the right-click menu for the DF taskbars. On the Settings > Functions tab, select a function (e.g. "Move Window to Current Monitor"), then click the "Toggle Jump List" button :)

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply, Keith...

#1 (Start button) Yes, the start button stays in front until the next hide/show cycle.

#2 (Window positioning) You didn't address the problem of application windows not always opening on the active monitor, even though "Move newly opened application windows to the current monitor" is checked in DF Settings. This issue seems to happen somewhat arbitrarily, and does not affect all applications. I've mainly experienced it with the Chrome browser and Adobe Lightroom.

#3 (Move window to...) Thanks much for pointing this out. The customizability of DF is quite staggering! Wonderful program!!

#1 We've just posted 9.7 Beta 14 and this should be fixed up :)

#2 The "Move newly opened application windows..." option only applies once per process. If you want all windows to move to whichever monitor you're currently using, you can create a Trigger rule that does that. Please see the attached screenshot for reference.

Hope that helps!

Keith... As always, thanks much for your reply! Just installed 9.7 Beta 14. So far issue #1 seems to be solved. Will let you know if that changes. And thanks for mentioning trigger rules. I set this up according to the screenshot you provided, and this seems to have taken care of issue #2. Stellar customer support!!
