Windows 11, single monitor (currently), using latest (non_beta) full/paid version of Display Fusion (from Steam). in the latest version, using the Tile setting for wallpapers, it has large gaps of black around each tiled image (taking up the rest of the screenspace). Instead of being tiled seamlessly (as it had previously), it now only fits 2 tiles of the image onscreen with huge empty gaps of black between each tiled copy of the chosen image. It is as if it doesn't know to "crop" the image based on its actual dimensions... This issue persists regardless of the "stretch small images" setting being on/off. Is this issue fixed in the beta version or is something else causing the issue?

UPDATE: This appears to be caused by lowering the *scale* of the image when set to Tile mode. In past versions, lowering the scale values of the image would just shrink the individual images while increasing the "tiles" that would fit on the desktop, Now, lowering the scale values shrinks the image, but leaves them 'centered' where they are (instead of bringing them closer together) and instead leaves a black 'border' that matches their original (100% scale) dimensions. To explain it another way, it seems to 'lock' each tiled image 'in place' (centered where they would appear at 100% scale). When lowering the scale value, the tiles images shrink, *but remain centered in their original coordinates* (leaving a lot of empty space between them). To test this, pick an image to use as a wallpaper, set it to Tile, and lower the scale values of it.

I've attached a few screenshots of the wallpaper preview and the associated scaling settings. Note how the image shrinks as I lower the scaling, but it leaves a black 'filler' space between the original and the tiled image copies. I've not encountered this issue on an older version of DF, so I am not sure which update caused this behaviour.

UPDATE 2: The same problem happens *in reverse* when you *increase* the scale value of tiled images. Above 100%, they "overlap" over each other as they seem 'fixed' in place (instead of all tiles increasing in size and adjusting their positions onscreen). Also, the Tile option doesn't seem to be functioning correctly anymore. In the past, it would infinitely tile the images horizontally/vertically. Now, it seems to only create 3 'tiles' of the image (with the original being the leftmost 'tile'). This can be checked by adjusting the horizontal/vertical allignment values, and seeing that there are no more tiled images to the left, and no more to the right after the 3rd tile. Very unusual behaviour, did not see this until I update from my older version (from at least a year ago XD). I've attached another screenshot to show this unusual bug.

I am still under my trial and before I consider buying DF this problem needs to be resolved.

I have a multiple monitor configuration and after a reboot everything seems to work fine. Then while working one monitor will stop allowing me to snap a window to a DF tile. Just gives me the Drag to split monitor to maximize. Another monitor will show the DF tiles to snap to. This even happens if the window I am draggin is very small or maximized.

Only fix I have found is to restart which is very annoying.

What data do you need from me to help troubleshoot or what actions can I take to resolve this problem?

Thanks!

Hello,

I have been using the licensed version of DisplayFusion for many years without crashes on my computer running Windows 10. DisplayFusion began crashing immediately after upgrading from v12.0.2 to v12.1. The crashes continued after upgrading to v12.1.1. The crashes are repeatable. Reliability Monitor shows multiple crashes beginning on the day I upgraded to v12.1.

WinDbg analysis of application dumps from both v12.1.0 and v12.1.1 produced the same Failure Bucket ID and identical Failure Hash {4f335f13-e945-3e5a-08b5-ab793970a677}, and reports the exception occurring in coreclr.dll!ProcessCLRException+0x13f with an access violation (0xC0000005). I have seven Windows Error Reporting (WER) full-memory application dumps and can provide one or more of them if they would be helpful. Please let me know if you would like me to provide one or more of the WER dump files or provide additional WinDbg output. They vary in size from 533MB to 1.32GB, which even Zipped will exceed the 50MB attacment limit. I can provide a Dropbox Link.

DisplayFusion v12.0.2 was stable on this system for months prior to upgrading to v12.1.
Been experiencing this myself as well. Use shift+ctrl+1 (or 2) two change between profiles (4K 60Hz, 3440x1440 @144hz)

Upon changing it becomes non-responsive about a minute and a half, then becomes insanely laggy, around 10-15 seconds of lag from an input for about a few minutes. Takes about 2min 55s for a full profile change. Seems to correct itself after that.

Using the version I have via Steam build 22134110 and attached the debug log following the instructions you posted earlier.

Hopefully it helps, really like the software but something either in a driver update or a DF update seems to be causing an issue. Never occured until the last month or two.

The error occurs before Reddit asks for my username, password, or authorization approval. It therefore appears that the OAuth client ID in the authorization request is no longer valid.
Can you confirm whether the DisplayFusion Reddit OAuth application or client registration is currently having a problem?
