Hell, if it weren't for the Windows-native multi-monitor taskbars not showing the systray and desktop button, and not allowing unique pinned icons (pinned icons show on all taskbars), I probably wouldn't have even installed DF in the first place. I've used DF since Windows 7, when I first started using dual- and tri-screen setups. It's pretty sad that Microsoft doesn't implement these seemingly basic features.

If DisplayFusion were able to close that remaining gap, they'd only be making people happy.

Sadly, that would fall under the reason this feature hasn't been implemented - there is no easy way to hook the creation of generic toolbars so they can be replicated as part of a DF Taskbar. If you are using Windows 10, you may want to use Windows taskbars on all monitors for this instead.
Now, if DF could hook the other Windows taskbars to add the System Tray and their Shortcuts to all the taskbars, that would be interesting and perhaps offer more compatibility

I would like to make another vote for this feature or something similar. I used to use TrueLaunchBar, but am trying to reduce the number of similar applications running all the time.
Another similar feature I have had in the past allows adding a toolbar to a specific Application / Window which is then set to snap beside the window it belongs to and has custom Functions/buttons.

I just wanted to comeback and post an update. A long time ago I used ObjectDock for custom taskbars but it just didn't cut it. After months of searching I finally found a very powerful replacement: http://www.truelaunchbar.com/

I am posting this here in hopes it will not only help my fellow users but the OPs of DF as well (maybe you can start a partnership and both benefit )

I am not using it today since my job changed and I work from home, using the company computer 99.9% of the time. It's a laptop and the going from (docked) triple monitors to single laptop touch-screen didn't make much sense. But now that I am back in a groove with my new setup, I may dust it off again

HI, I would really like this feature implemented and I dont get why you get don't add the option for your own custom toolbar based on a folder without the use the Windows toolbars. Yours can be independant and works wonder by itself. without the use of the windows API.

you would just need to link a folder from within your settings GUI to add a toolbar, the same kind of process that we use to edit shortcuts on the taskbars manually with the editing screen, https://i.imgur.com/qGmj7R9.png

It honestly look simple enough if you remove the need to load the windows toolbars and would please a lot of people.

please implement this feature, displayfusion is really great and I dont to use nothing else.

Unfortunately it's not as simple as it seems on the surface. There's no documented Windows API for loading a taskbar toolbar, since it was only ever intended as a feature for the Windows taskbar, not for third-party apps to use. So first, we have to find the undocumented APIs, and then we have to make them work reliably. If/when we're able to get it all working, we will be sure to let you know!

Please add my vote to this request.

My main reason to try out DisplayFusion was that while Windows 10 lets you see the Toolbars and even clock on all the monitors, it does not display the notification area on the other monitors. This gets to be a problem when running certain full-screen applications.

Unless I am missing some setting, DisplayFusion seems to do the opposite, it does not display the Toolbars in every monitor but it does display the Notification area.

But by not having the toolbars... it quite defeats the main reason for my using DisplayFusion. A bit disappointing.

I hope that I got this wrong and there is a way to display *both* the toolbars as well as the notification area.

You can actually move the shortcuts to the right side by right-clicking the taskbar and navigating to Multi-Monitor Taskbar > Shortcuts > Right.

As for the folder toolbars, we do have an open feature request for it, so I've added your vote.

As a somewhat workaround, you could do this in the 3.4.0 Beta: http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/

- Create one group of shortcuts on the DF taskbar, then backup the settings on the Options tab of the DF Settings
- Remove those shortcuts and create the next group, then backup the settings to a new file
- Do the same for all the groups you want to use
- Then you can use the Restore Settings button to restore whatever group you want to use at that time

It's not perfect but might be useful in the meantime.

Thanks!

Ever since I found your program last week, I love it, but would like to submit suggestions for the continual improvement. That is why I have been posting so much. Anyway, on with the Request.

Feature Request: Toolbars for Display Fusion or Movable Taskbar Shortcuts
I use toolbars (folder's content listing on taskbar) on my computers and find them very handy for launching new applications without opening the start menu or going to the desktop. I have found the Taskbar Shortcuts option in Display Fusion, but feel very limited since it places them next to the Display Fusion Start Button and I reserve that space for only running applications. Also toolbars allow me to quickly add and remove my preset folders of shortcuts, creating a fast changing quick launch area.

I have attached a screenshot of what it looks like on my computer. My toolbars point to folders of files and shortcuts that I have created to quickly access what I need. I do not know how your application is setup to operate internally, but I would assume to think that this could be accomplished by allowing Taskbar Shortcuts to be moved and adding a new item to Taskbar Shortcuts: Directory Listings, which would allow the user to add a directory and everything in the directory would be added as a shortcut on the Display Fusion task bar.

Well I hope this has been clear enough.

Thanks
