Would I be correct in guessing this doesn't affect the color of the "selected window" shading on the icon at all? Is it possible to add a method to customize the color of this as well, since even with a completely hidden taskbar (I used translucentTB to make my taskbar 100% clear), it shows that little bar when the taskbar is hidden. https://imgur.com/a/KaPGniq

I just stumbled across TranslucentTB in the microsoft store, as well as the advanced setting in DF to disable background rendering of taskbars, and between the two, this has accomplished mostly what I was trying to. Would love if the functionality of TranslucentTB could be integrated into DF's taskbars as TranslucentTB only works with the system taskbar. Looks like everything's on github if you want to take a look: https://github.com/TranslucentTB/TranslucentTB

I know this is an ancient thread but I was wondering if any progress had been made here. Obviously it's not a currently implemented feature, but I was looking for this for a slightly different reason. I use a solid black wallpaper and have 3 displays which all support local dimming. When only using my center display with all other windows minimized, the backlights of my side displays turn off entirely. Or they would except for that 2px line at the bottom. Here's my suggestion. If it can't be disabled as of now, can we have an option to fully customize its color so that I can make the 2px line solid black (including the vertical line at the right end) so that my displays will turn off their backlights entirely when not in use?
As for the taskbar not coming out of auto-hide, we've had a few other customers report the same thing, but we've never been able to find a consistent trigger that's causing it to happen. Quick question: when it won't come out of auto-hide, are you able to see the 2px line, or is it missing?

This would be great to be able to set per taskbar, I have 1 monitor I use with media software, and on that monitor I set the taskbar to auto hide so that when those apps lose focus the task bar isn't infront of the app, but that little line is a nuisance, but setting the opacity globally means the other taskbars are effected as well. And unchecking the "Show taskbar in front of full screen applications..." option makes it unable to unhide the auto-hiding taskbar

Ok, we've finally had a chance to work on trying to hide the 2px line when the DisplayFusion taskbar is auto-hidden, but it's more or less impossible in Windows 7. We can make it transparent, but Windows still draws the weird Aero blur behind, so even though what we've drawn is transparent, you can still see a line from the Aero blur. In Windows 8, it seems to work fine.

The only work around we could implement is to hide the taskbar completely, and then it would only be shown if you pressed the Windows key on your keyboard. Would that work for you?
