I'm using the Steam version. is there a way to tell Steam to opt in to one of the betas, or do those have to be downloaded manually?

I'm also curious when version 10 will be officially released.

Hi Jason,

You can grab our latest beta here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/. If you scroll down on that page as well, you'll see our older betas for the current version listed as well. We didn't skip any, you should see 1 through 15 listed there

You can view our beta change log here as well, if you're looking to see if something specific was fixed: https://www.displayfusion.com/ChangeLog/Beta/. Any beta can be installed directly overtop of your current install and it will maintain your settings. If you have any issues on a beta, you can roll back to the stable version at any time as well.

Hope that helps!
I've seen mentions of beta as late as beta version 12, yet when I check for new release builds, the latest is 9.9.

Did you skip 10, and 11, or are you still working on those as betas too? Just a curious thing to me, because I don't understand making betas of multiple future versions, without sending existing updates to release first.

Being someone who generally chooses release software versions over betas, I'm also seeing bug fixes, and features that I want in beta versions, but not keen on installing potentially unstable beta software releases on my very expensive machine to get those fixes. This is part of why I'm curious.
