After further research, and assistance from this post, I found a solution that worked for me.

Open DF settings, then go to Functions. From there, I used the Filter field and typed in 'save'. This filtered the 'Save Window Positions' and 'Restore Window Positions From Last Save' options.

I then highlighted each and clicked Edit so I could assign a key combination. Once the key combinations were set for each, I clicked Apply, then OK.

Next, I used the key combo I assigned to 'Save Window Positions'. Don't forget this step.

I powered off both of my monitors, then powered on the primary, then secondary. All my apps were slammed over to the primary monitor, as expected. I then hit the key combo to 'Restore Window Positions From Last Save' and B-BOOM! All my open apps went back to where I originally had them!

Thank you Display Fusion! This is exactly what I was looking for!

I hope this helps others!

Hello all,

I am a new user to DisplayFusion. I am currently using DisplayFusion Pro, version 8.0 I just purchased this software, and have followed the instructions on setting up a 'monitor profile'. I've opened all the programs I want, placed them where I want, then saved a new profile with an associated key combination.

The problem is, when I shut my monitors off (primary on DisplayPort and secondary on DVI), turn them back on, then load up the monitor profile with my key combination, all my programs are still all jumbled on the primary monitor.

My understanding when purchasing this software was I could set a profile that would put all my open app windows back in there place when the profile was created. What am I missing here, please?

When I load my profile, DF says 'profile was loaded' but nothing is back in place correctly.

Thank you for any direction and assistance.
