For example, if your image has a gradient going from left to right, red to blue, what color would the background color be? If we took the average colour, it might be somewhere around purple, which may look strange. If we extended the colours along the edge outwards it would look weird with photos and complicated images. I'm just wondering if a feature exists that I'm missing or suggesting it if it does not exist. Otherwise the program is great!

Not all my wallpapers have a perfect aspect ratio so there are inevitably bars around some of my images. The colour of the bars often clashes with the image and does not make for a nice desktop.
This would be addressed if DisplayFusion could automatically choose a colour that goes well with the content of each new random wallpaper.

I have a program that performs an entirely different function but has a similar feature. CDisplay, a comic reading application, changes the window colour as each new page loads. I don't know the inner workings but I believe it detects the most prevalent or average colour around the edge of an image.

I've searched the forum and gone through the settings of the program so if I've missed it entirely I am going to feel pretty silly. ]]>
