Sounds like exactly my issue. Yes I'm on Windows 10. I so hope this can get fixed, either by Nvidia or DF, it's the only thing holding this setup back!

Sorry to bring this back up but I just got triple monitor Nvidia Surround setup this week and have been searching for answers to this all day. Starting to think it's not possible. Basically, any game I run in windowless fullscreen plays on the center monitor fine, either the DF taskbar shows or a blank (what I presume to be Windows fullscreen taskbar shows). In games like SC2 and LoL that means I can't scroll on the bottom of the screen. Even if I set the Windows taskbar to autohide, when I go to scroll down it pops up of course.

I just bought DisplayFusion today and I'm really hoping I can find a way to fix this eventually. I've tried solutions in 20+ threads. As it stands, it looks like I'm going to be switching between Surround and regular 3 monitor mode when I want to play single monitor games :-/.

Windows Taskbar and DF taskbar are always active in windowed full screen games. specifically World of Warships and Dragon Age Origins. I have 4 monitors with 3 setup in Nvidia Surround so the 4th monitor I use as my desktop for browser and teamspeak in order to keep game active and use the 4th most games have to be run in windowed mode. This is why I bought DF to control taskbar on 4th monitor. I now use Windowed Borderless gaming product for the games that dont support this mode.

FullScreen Applications [1]

0x00040b24 ~ {X=0,Y=0,Width=7680,Height=1080} ~ CompatibilityRule ~ "World of Warships" ~ "App" ~ "D:\Games\World_of_Warships\WorldOfWarships.exe"

This is from the compatibility rule i made without that they are not detected in log as fullscreen . With the rule the windows taskbar/middle monitor of 3 is not acting as if the the game is full screen(that is it will pop up when mouse goes there) but the DF taskbars on the other monitors are hidden.

So I still never found a fix in displayfusion for this.
I still use the workaround taskbar.exe that hides the taskbar when in a full window mode application.
I don't think the issue is necessarily in displayfusion but the original windows taskbar appears over the application and no the display fusion taskbar.

The Display Fusion Taskbar(s) will also appear *over* the application, even if you setup compatibility mode to treat the app as fullscreen. And currently the same compatibility switch to toggle those taskbars off when the app launches doesn't work for me either.

DF is really in a bad way for me right now with Windows 10. Considering uninstalling it until things are smoothed out.

More information:

I used CCC and moved the Windows Taskbar to the left monitor only, then used DisplayFusion to create additional Taskbars on center/right monitors. Then I went and created a Compatibility entry for the app I'm using, and enabled "Disable DisplayFusion Taskbars while this application is running".

It had absolutely no effect.

I also attempted to use the "Force DisplayFusion to treat this as a full screen application" switch.

Also - no effect.

Closing WindowedBorderlessGaming and re-testing both switches proved fruitless, the problem remained.

Seems like more than a few bugs remain in DF. If at some point you want to debug and patch this stuff up, I'd be glad to help test. In the meantime - you may want to add them to your Windows 10 issues list, as I can confirm they exist.

I'm using NoMousy and WindowedBorderlessGaming with a DX app, and anytime I move the in-app mouse low enough, the Task bar for that monitor pops up in front of the app. I have no way to force it to open behind.

Apparently now in addition to NoMousy I also need a utility app named NoTaskbar. /sigh Wouldn't it be awesome if the functionality of BOTH those utilities was built into DisplayFusion?

At this point, outside of snapping to a monitor and segmenting the taskbar, DF is doing very, very little for me.

Ok, the only thing that will probably fix this then, is if we're able to detect "full screen" windowed games as full screen. That's on our list at the moment, but I can't offer an ETA on when we might be able to fix it.

In the meantime, the only workaround I can think of, is to create a Compatibility rule for some other app, like the Windows Calculator to have it always treated as full screen, and then make sure to launch that before you launch your game. I'm not 100% sure if that will work, but again, that's the only thing I can think of

We'll definitely let you know if we're able to make DisplayFusion detect "full screen" windowed games as full screen automatically.

Thanks!

I am monitoring it with process explorer and still has not see where the application has gone.
However the application is still exists in the Task Manager Application tab, while not in the Processes tab.
it still exists in the taskbar and alt-tab too.

if I Right-click the application in the Applications tab and choose "Go to Process" it will change to Processes tab and select last selected application.
FYI, the game play in my primary monitor while the original windows taskbar in my second monitor.
