Thanks for the response. To clarify, question 4 was about the Windows default monitor configuration. In a nutshell, are the DF profiles completely independent of whatever the default Windows monitor configuration is? Or does one of the FD profiles need to match the default Windows profile?
I am not experiencing any issues related to this, just wanted to understand.

Glad to hear you like DisplayFusion!

1. I've reproduced that issue here. Looks like even just opening the Monitor Configuration window after changing profiles makes the changes stick. We'll hopefully have that fixed up in one of the next few betas.

2. It's not currently possible, but is on our feature request list, so I've added your vote.

3. When you make that monitor change and the wallpaper is distorted, could you try opening the DisplayFusion Desktop Wallpaper window and clicking Apply to see if it will re-apply the wallpaper with the correct settings? If it does, just enable the two options shown in the attached screenshot and DisplayFusion will fix it automatically in the future.

4. If you want to disable DisplayFusion from setting the wallpaper, just open up the Desktop Wallpaper window, click the "Use Default Options" button, and apply the settings. Also make sure to disable the two options from the previous question as well. After that you should be able to use just the normal Windows wallpaper settings.

I own the Pro version. In case it's relevant I'm running a 4K monitor in the middle, and a 1920 x 1200 monitor in portrait mode on each side of it.

1. I have set up set up (3) profiles, 1x1, 2x2 and 3x2, all of which create that grid on the center 4K monitor. When I switch between them, the change often does not seem to "register". Meaning the new profile is definitely selected, but windows continue to snap based on the previous setting. For instance right now I have 1x1 selected, but every time I maximize a window it does so as if the previous 3x2 grid is still selected. Is this a known bug? Is there a workaround? As I was just messing around with windows and maximized one on one of the side monitors, all of a sudden I was then able to maximize one on the center monitor. So it does appear that some actions force things back to their proper setting.

2. Is it possible to crate a grid such as 3x2 where the windows are not sized the same? I'd like to create a grid where I have a 1920 x 1080 window in the middle, with 960 x 1080 windows on each side.

3. I have a 4K background for my middle monitor. Right now I'm just letting it run across all the monitors. When I made one of the side monitors my primary monitor, the background ceased to fill the screen on the main monitor. Is this a Windows thing? Do I need to create Wallpaper profiles to fix that?

4. It would appear that profiles override the default Windows configuration? If so, is there such a thing as not having a profile selected and just going with the default Windows config? Or is that basically exiting DisplayFusion?

It's an awesome program, thanks for your help.
