Originally I was using it to run bginfo on a Microsoft Azure VM and I had to set the parameters the old fashioned way (in the registry).  Proved to be a fruitless exercise however as bginfo really screws things up when confronted with multiple monitors of different sizes and resolutions.  Unfortunately Microsoft made it part of the default VM image and I had to remove it in the end.<br/>
<br/>
Amazon EC2 machines don't have this problem.  I'm guessing they use something other than bginfo to add information to the desktop wallpaper.<br/>
<br/>
I know I could do this with DisplayFusion, however, much of the information related to the virtual environment isn't readily available.
