Last Monday we released a new DisplayFusion beta version (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) and there's now an Advanced Setting to adjust the width of the TitleBar Buttons. In Settings > Advanced Settings, you'll want to use the "Button Size Override: Width" option. I've found that setting it to somewhere between 25 and 30 is a pretty good value if you want them to be narrower than the defaults.

I still find it weird that Windows 10 makes a difference in the spacing. I'd tried modifying the Windows themes but did not get very far. But if DF can scale the buttons and spacing, then all is fine.

Regarding the number of buttons on my titlebars, actually I'd like to add even more! But that's another story. I'll take it up in another discussion with other suggestions that would make this great software even better. Furthermore, the "Separator Size" value set in Advanced Settings (in these examples, set at 6) apparently has no effect in Windows 10.

I've tried using Winaero Tweaker to change the Minimize/Restore icon size, but that has no effect on the DF buttons' size or separation. I've also tried copying a theme from Windows 8.1 to 10 and using it. Still, no change.

I've read in another discussion requesting the ability to set the DF button size. If implemented, that would have solved this problem. I am still curious as to why it is behaving differently in Windows 10, however, and if there is a quick solution without the new capability.

Ultimately the goal is to be able to pack as many buttons as possible into the titlebar.
