There is a workaround, however. You can create a Window Location rule as shown in the attached screenshot. That will force the new PuTTY window to open on the monitor that has the mouse cursor, which in theory, will be the monitor that the first window was on, because you'll have clicked on the Open button :)

It worked for me in my testing, but please let me know if it doesn't work for you.

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be anything we can do about this issue at the moment. If the first child window is getting moved, the application is getting hooked properly, but it may be doing something weird with the child's child window.

  • Attach the %appdata%\DisplayFusion\DisplayFusion.log file to this topic (can be found by clicking the 'Open Log' button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending me the log

I have been working with the demo version for a few weeks now, so far so good with one exception. In Flash, file dialogs show up on one monitor, but alert boxes show up spanning both, with half on each screen.

In Komodo, file dialogs show up on one monitor, but alert boxes show up at the edge of one monitor, as if trying to launch between the two, but just being forced onto one monitor.

Is intelligent repositioning something DF should be handling, or should I be sending a support email to the companies in question?
