Ok, I've checked out the properties for that window, and it doesn't have any parent window information, so DisplayFusion doesn't know it's supposed to go where the first window was.

There is a workaround, however. You can create a Window Location rule as shown in the attached screenshot. That will force the new PuTTY window to open on the monitor that has the mouse cursor, which in theory, will be the monitor that the first window was on, because you'll have clicked on the Open button

It worked for me in my testing, but please let me know if it doesn't work for you.

Hope that helps!

I have been working with the demo version for a few weeks now, so far so good with one exception. I have noticed that this one app I use, the first window opens properly, then the second popup from this first pop, does not get affected by the setting, it still opens on the wrong monitor.

DisplayFusion doesn't automatically move dialog boxes and child windows, unless you have a Window Location rule setup for that application to force All Windows to a specific monitor/location.

However, we do have an open feature request for dialogs/child windows to be automatically moved to wherever the parent is, so I'll add your vote to that

Thanks!

I use a few of my apps multi-monitor, for example Flash Pro, FlashDevelop, Komodo Edit.

In Flash, file dialogs show up on one monitor, but alert boxes show up spanning both, with half on each screen.

In Komodo, file dialogs show up on one monitor, but alert boxes show up at the edge of one monitor, as if trying to launch between the two, but just being forced onto one monitor.

Is intelligent repositioning something DF should be handling, or should I be sending a support email to the companies in question?

Cheers,
