That "Disconnected monitors are locked" message just means that the monitors are disabled, so you can't drag them to a new position in the Monitor Configuration. If you run into that again, you can select "Enabled" from the drop-down on the Monitor Configuration window, then you should be able to drag it to position it.<br/>
<br/>
Regarding the Monitor Profiles not loading, it sounds like maybe a driver update (or cable configuration change?) has caused some of the monitors to no longer match what was saved in the profiles. Configuring and re-saving the profiles should resolve that error <img src="https://www.displayfusion.com/MediaCommon/SVGs/FontAwesome/face-smile.light.svg" alt=":)" style="box-sizing:border-box;position:relative;overflow:hidden;vertical-align:middle !important;width:16px;height:16px;" HelpButtonData=":)" HelpButtonDataAlign="BelowMiddle" />

Issue:<br/>
<br/>
I am a currency trader and run the 8 monitors listed above in the desktop configuration shown in the attached image.:<br/>
<br/>
The applications I am running are:<br/>
<br/>
<ul class="ListBullet"><b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Desktop 1</span>:  MetaTrader 4</b> v4.00 Build 971 (7 June 2016) (Trading platform - Currency charts only)<br/>
<b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Desktop 2</span>:  MetaTrader 4</b> v4.00 Build 971 (7 June 2016) (Trading platform - Trade and data windows)<br/>
<b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Desktop 3</span>:  MetaEditor v5.00</b>Build 1342 (01 June 2016) (Coding automated trading programs)<br/>
<b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Desktop 4</span>:  MetaEditor v5.00</b>Build 1342 (01 June 2016) (simply extended from Desktop 3)<br/>
<b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Desktop 5</span>:  Microsoft Excel 2010</b>(14.0.7170.5000 SP2 ) (Analysing live data from MetaTrader4)</ul>

Although on occasions I do need to run all desktops simultaneously, the majority of the time this is not required.  I purchased DisplayFusion to create monitor profiles and to force applications to open on the specified desktops. I have DisplayFusion Pro 7.3.4<br/>
<br/>
All seemed to be OK.  I had the following monitor profiles:<br/>
<br/>
<b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">All</span></b>:                                 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5<br/>
<b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Monitor 4 Only</span></b>:                      4<br/>
<b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Programming</span></b>:                         3 & 4<br/>
<b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Trading 2 x 2</span></b>:                       1<br/>
<b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Trading 2 x 2 plus Terminal</span></b>:         1 & 2<br/>
<br/>
I believe it was when I creating my final profile (<b><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Trading 2 x 2 plus Terminal Mexcel</span></b> with desktops 1,2 & 5) when the problem arose.<br/>
<br/>
I believe I started with the <b>Programming</b> profile.  The idea was to enable desktops 1, 2 & 5 and disable 3 & 4 before saving the new one.  The problem was when I left-clicked on desktops 1, 2 or 5 the following message appeared in the monitor selection sub-window of the Monitor Configuration window - "Disconnected monitors are locked".  The message appeared only while the left mouse button remained depressed.<br/>
<br/>
Although the locked monitors appear in the monitor selection sub-window, they cannot be identified when I click on the "Identify" button, nor can you move the cursor onto them.<br/>
<br/>
The windows settings at the time were:<br/>
<br/>
Turn off display:           Never<br/>
Put the computer to sleep:  Never<br/>
Screensaver Wait:           390 minutes<br/>
<br/>
These settings remain unchanged.  I believe the screensaver had activated on earlier profiles without causing any problems.<br/>
<br/>
I have tried:<br/>
<ul class="ListBullet">
selecting other profiles which utilised the locked monitors;<br/>
turning DisplayFusion off; and<br/>
rebooting windows</ul>
<br/>
but the locked monitors remained locked.<br/>
<br/>
Sorry for such a long-winded description, but I wanted to be sure you had all the relevant info.<br/>

To confirm the problem I just selected the "All" profile. For whatever reason all the monitors just came live again and I can move the cursor across all monitors.  The layout however is not as had been set up in the profile - both orientation and positioning are all screwed up.<br/>
<br/>
I have just been able to enable all the monitors again but when I try to select any profile, nothing changes and I get the following error:<br/>
<br/>
"An error has occured while applying your new monitor configuration.  Please check your settings and try again.  Error: Mode Not Supported [-2]  1. AOC Q2963 @ AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series".<br/>
<br/>
Admittedly this is a DisplayPort connection to graphics card 2, but there are 4 other DP monitors and a DVI monitor with an active DVI/DP converter that are not listed in the error message.<br/>

It sounds like Windows is doing a display re-detection when the monitor enters sleep mode (some monitors actually "disconnect" when they enter sleep). Here is one more issue that I've noticed..<br/>
<br/>
If I have several windows up and in different quadrants, etc., and Windows (10) turns off the monitor after the specified time away, when I bring the monitor back on (the computer is NOT in suspend mode, just the display (video card) has been turned off by Windows), then the windows that I had opened are all in different places.<br/>
<br/>
For example, say I have Outlook open (and 'full screen')in the lower left quadrant (1.2).  Display off, display back on - Outlook is now in the upper left of the screen (quadrant 1.1) and no longer in 'full screen' mode.  Appears to happen to any window, not just Outlook.<br/>

I have a couple of issues that may be rare...<br/>
My monitor is a 48" 4K TV that I am running in 4K mode with DisplayFusion splitting the screen into 4 1080p sections (only the one taskbar along the bottom of the whole screen).<br/>

1. Clicking on the Notification arrow to display notification icons which don't normally show on the taskbar pops up the notification group in the middle of the screen (which would be where the end of desktop 1 would be) instead of above the notification arrow.<br/>
<br/>
2. Since splitting the screen with DisplayFusion, Outlook (2016) has some issues.  Sometimes, trying to reply to an e-mail causes a full-screen (in one quadrant) window to pop up.  This is created by Outlook, but it appears to be a Word window.  The only way to close this is to close the original e-mail that was being replied to, or to close it by right-clicking on the taskbar item and selecting the Close option.  Also, though, it appears that repeating this process will eventually cause Outlook to crash.<br/>

Other than that, I love the ability to split the 2160 screen into 4 1080 screens!
