I was using an older version. It was 5.xx I believe. But I tried the most recent version of DF as well and my system still became sluggish. My wallpaper was set to change every 30 seconds. But even when I turned the setting to rotate wallpapers off, I still experienced the same sluggishness. It was only when I disabled DF altogether that my system was fine again.

4 months ago I updated Windows 8 to 8.1. Ever since then, my system would gradually become more and more sluggish throughout the day...to the point where I have to reboot my computer once a day (haven't done that since like Windows 95). Even dragging a window around the screen was choppy and laggy. It felt like a massive memory leak or something. It was driving me crazy and I tried finding a solution on a Windows 8 forum. Here's the thread detailing my troubleshooting process. DF would show CPU usage spikes every few seconds and I don't know if that's normal or not but that's just what I noticed in task manager.

http://www.eightforums.com/performance-maintenance/58688-system-gets-choppy-slow-within-24-hours.html

After a lengthy process of disabling programs one by one I finally found the culprit it seems. It was DisplayFusion. I don't know if anyone else is having a similar problem. But ever since I disabled DisplayFusion, my computer is back to being smooth without needing a reboot every day. (I am now on 4th day of up time without needing to reboot)

This never happened in Windows 8 + DisplayFusion. So I don't know if it's an 8.1 + DF problem or what.

The only thing I used DF for was to rotate my wallpapers on my third monitor while keeping the wallpapers on my 1st and 2nd monitor static.
