Directory Opus has "Explorer Replacement" settings.
When I disabled those settings -- Display Fusion started acting as expected and desired.

From my perspective -- I am happy. I do not need the problematic Directory Opus settings invoked.

What now - if anything?

The log doesn't show any errors, but it definitely seems that DisplayFusion is having trouble launching the File Browser on your machine, because the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab is also supposed to open File Browser to the folder that contains the log.

When I push the "Open Log" button -- nothing seems to happen.

I expected to see a Dialog Box, pointing to the DisplayFusion.log and/or the DebugInfo.html files .

  • Restart DisplayFusion
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Under the right click menu "Desktop Wallpaper Settings" I'd love to see a "Delete image" option.
I know that sounds kind of crazy but I have a vast amount of backgrounds. Say 4000 for example
I know about 95% of these I love, but isolating the 5% I don't would be difficult, frustrating and time consuming.

Since it's not a high priority for me, I'd love for me to just casually delete them as they rotate now and then.

I've wanted this in multiple Wallpaper apps over the years, would you be willing to consider?
Obviously an "Are you sure, this will delete this wallpaper!?" dialogue box would be needed.
