If I could make another suggestion, if would be to allow the selection of multiple files or a whole folder. It's nice to have the logon screen change every time the wallpaper changes, but it would be even nicer to have it change to something different than the current wallpaper.

The way I have it set up now is I have a folder with about 50 wallpapers that are used randomly for each of my monitors after a certain about of time. Most people I know that run as Administator with UAC turned off also run into other problems because of crap they did.

Also, as far as I know even when UAC is turned off, you still get a warning when changing files within the protected area.

yeah but once the registry change to move the C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds folder out of the protected area, then the UAC shouldn't pop-up anymore.

Anyways, I have the same issue, but I WANT to use the same image for my logon background. I just don't want to have to deal with the UAC every 10 minutes.

In windows XP there was a registry tweak that allowed the logon screen exe file to be stored anywhere and named pretty much anything. I was wondering if this tweak still works on windows 7. Otherwise the "use my desktop background for logon" is virtually useless for anyone using the desktop switcher.

If there's no other way around it and the registry entry still works, then maybe the next version of Displayfusion could let it's own logonui.exe inside the program folder and modify the registry to reflect that. Unless I run it as admin, every time it changes the wallpaper I get the UAC prompt
"do you want to allow the following program to make changes...".
It's a downloaded copy with valid license, installed into c:\Program Files (x86)\...
If run as admin, no problem. Is this as expected?
