Hi!

Sorry for the long wait, I was on vacation. ^^
I've tried what you suggested and it still not works the way I think it should be. I'm thinking of making a video of it, it might help you.
The time I made the changes: 2012/08/08 15:59:05. I loaded the profile called "Monitor" and it should activate only the monitor, set to primary but instead my monitor deactivates and my laptop screen remains active. Also, the profile manager says that "Detected Profile: Laptop", even though I am sure that I set up a different profile.
Whenever I try to set my monitor primary the result is the same. In the profile settings panel it shows my monitor as deactivated and I have to extend it again.

Sometimes I got a different error message as well, but I couldn't copy it and I haven't been able to recreate it. The only thing I remember is that it said that the problem is in connection with my monitor and "Error [-2]" or something like that.
I'm sorry that I couldn't be much of a help to you and that I still keep bothering you with this.

Hi!

Sorry for the late reply, I tried my own ways as well to fix it, so far with no success.
Here's the Toubleshoot log you asked and the results of the customer test as well.

I'm not so sure but the problem might be due to the special screensaver I'm using, if you want that I'll gladly send it to you.
Please let me know if I can be of any help to you in the future as well.
Thank you for your help and take it easy. ^^

I have another problem: I have a laptop and also a TV monitor, with the same resolutions. I try to make the following profiles:
1. Only the laptop screen is active
2. Only the monitor is active
3. The laptop screen is extended to the monitor
4. The laptop screen is extended to the monitor but the monitor is set primary

Among these options only the 1st and 3rd works:

2nd: when I try to disable the laptop screen, I try to disconnect the monitor (because I can't set my monitor primary first due to the problem described below) and then try to extend it again, then again I got only my laptop screen active (even though thr DisplayFusion shows that I have the 2nd monitor enabled and set primary :S).
4th: when I try to set the monitor primary, the software actually sets the monitor inactive and enables only my laptop.

Sorry if it seems confusing but I don't know what to do. If you have questions regarding and devices of mine, feel free to ask.
Also, thanks for fixing the "Identify" bug.

Thanks!

With the newest Version (4.1.0 Beta 5), everything is now working as expected, although I had to search a bit for the option to disable the confirmation dialog from popping up every time. Might be good to put a checkbox for that on the monitor configuration.
Thanks for the fix!

@Clay: Thanks for the extra info, it's helpful to know that the same issue exists in the nVidia Control Panel. I've actually got an nVidia card with three outputs, but only two can be enabled at a time, so I'm going to do some testing with both the DF Monitor Configuration feature, as well as the nVidia Control Panel to see what we can find out.

Hey guys,

I too have a similar setup on my PC.

1080i TV = HDMI

19" ASUS = VGA

19" ASUS = DVI

I was playing around with the profiles and found out some interesting information. While playing with my Nvidia 9800GT I was disappointed to learn that it CAN NOT support 3 displays at the same time (even though it has 3 outputs for video) Only 2 can be active at the same time.

So with that said, here's what I found that's interesting:

It appears that the profile manager is trying to turn on other monitors BEFORE it turns off the current monitors. Thus exceeding the limits of the GPU and in turn, causing the error. When I use nVidia's control panel, I always have to disable the unwanted monitor first THEN enable the other monitor that I wanted to use or it will generate an error.

Hope this helps fix this issue, I bought this software for the sole purpose of having the ability of using pre-configured profiles for my displays. I'm still stuck switching monitors with nVidia's control panel (they don't have the ability to save monitor profiles at all!) So, this issue is distressing to say the least!
