I'm sorry if I misled you. All it does is create an invisible snap-to grid within whatever screen divisions that DF has created. It sizes and snaps the program windows to a specified size invisible grid.

The reason I use Gridy, is that it gives you control of the grid snap size down to 4px. It's also a free-bee.

The split monitor options works great and the Gridy grid within each monitor split works as well for individual window positioning.

Just an FYI. Let me know if you think my thought process on this is incorrect.

After updating to the beta, you can configure the splits using the DisplayFusion Monitor Configuration window.

If you get a chance to try it out, please let us know how it goes.

Unfortunately it's too simple and has been causing problems repainting interior windows in things like services.msc. I recently started trying display fusion again but can't find any feature as mentioned to split 1 display into 3 please let me know if/when this feature does exist and to where I could find it? I purchased a license this morning in hopes of someday being able to utilize eyefinity mode (multiple monitors as 1, e.g. 5760x1200 resolution).

I think you may be able to add some features more easily than others... currently you have a way to send a program to another monitor (not sure why you can't click a button to send it to a specific monitor, only the "next" monitor).

What I propose is a feature similar to ati's hydravision software (horrible and discontinued i think) where you have the ability to create a user-defined grid (which is invisible at run time except when snapping windows) that you can snap windows into based upon a hotkey being held down at the time you click the maximize button, or when youre dragging a window.

As an example..
If I hold down [shift] and click Maximize, the window will span across all 3 monitors using the full resolution regardless of pre-defined grids.
If I hold down [alt] and click Maximize, the window will snap to the closest grid the window is next to, and expand or contract to that grid's specified size
If I hold down [ctrl] and click Maximize, the window will snap to the largest grid the window is closest to (on a single monitor) and expand or contract to that grid's size

This feature would be applicable to all users regardless of system configuration because the grids are user-defined.

Have just upgraded to 3 monitors via an eyefinity GPU - i.e. using 1 ATI card to run 3 x (1920 x 1200) monitors

Via Catalyst software, rather than set up the monitors as 1 large monitor (5760 x 1200) the option is there within the ATI software to set up 3 indivudal monitos (3 x (1920 x 1200).
Choosing this option results in the Windows taskbar only being displayed on the primary* monitor (you can nominate which monitor within the configuration is primary)

I nominated the far left monitor as primary.
I purchased Display version Pro and am successfully using Display Fusion to display my taskbar across all 3 monitors, while only displaying the relevant windows for each particular monitor. (Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit, Dell x 3 (1920 x 1200) LCD, Gigabyte/ATI HD5850 OC GPU)

Windows notifcation icons are shown only on the primary monitor taskbar. The time is shown on all three monitors.

This feature is why I purchased the program and might be simpler to to implement in an eyefinity situation then the full gambit of features. I it was very disappointing to get my new video card installed and find out my favorite feature the multi monitor taskbar did not work. The "Individual monitors" is not the case - Eyefinity appears as a single continuous space, but allows you to ask the ATI drivers where the monitors are.
