PS - I tested the Monitor locking with monitor powered off on the latest build when I installed my license, and I'm sorry to say, but...

IT WORKS! Great job. Now I can use monitor locking while Monitor 2 is off! This is fantastic!

As for the screen locking, now that I've tested it a bit more, it should be locking your cursor to the current monitor regardless of whether the other monitor is powered on or not.

Could you send the info from the Troubleshooting tab, along with a screen shot of your Windows display settings to me at support@binaryfortress.com?

Thanks!

EDIT: I forgot to mention, you can run the screensaver on one screen, but the other will blank out as well. Unfortunately we can't fix that so it's not really an option in your case. Hopefully we can resolve your screen locking issue though

Yeah, unfortunately we can't detect when monitors are powered off as DisplayFusion relies on Windows to tell it what monitors are connected and enabled. Windows definitely has issues detecting whether certain monitors are connected or not. I find that it's usually better when the monitor is connected through a digital connection like DVI, DisplayPort, or HDMI.

OK, tested it out at home.
With Monitor 2 off, it doesn't seem to work. Cursor moves to Monitor 2's desktop and doesn't stay locked in Monitor 1.
With the Monitor 2 powered ON, it DOES work. It actually moves to Monitor 2, but doesn't go more than 1 cursor's length in (which is fine by me).

I take it there's no way to determine when a monitor is powered off eh? Odd that Windows would extend the current desktop to one that doesn't "exist" when the Monitor is powered off.

My bad, I didn't install the Beta, but I'm glad to see it has mouse locking. Wow, this little app has just about everything. I see you have an RSS feed on the site, so I'll subscribe to it (hopefully it has news about beta features as well as latest stable builds) I'm VERY eager to see modal centering. Can't wait to see if it gets added down the line. It's such a small feature but with SUCH A HUGE end result. I'm very surprised Windows didn't come with that kind of functionality built in.

As for the app that was having issues with the title bar buttons (I saw that offset you spoke about-nice touch, btw) but as I recall, the buttons VISUALLY on the titlebar were not where their hit areas were. I would mouse over an area that has no button, and it would register a mouse over on one of the buttons. Kinda funky, but again, it only had issues on 1 app.

The program in question that gives me the most grief is Adobe Photoshop CS5. I use this app like 2-4+ hours a day (freaking LOVE it) and maximizing my workspace efficiency is top priority to me.

I should have clarified a bit more about the mouse locking settings actually... After you install the latest 3.3.1 beta, do the following to enable the mouse locking hotkey:

Go to the DisplayFusion settings

Click the HotKeys tab

Double click the "Lock/Unlock Mouse Cursor..." option that you would like to set

Select a key combination and click OK

Click OK again

Also on a side note, if the TitleBar buttons are overlapping other ones, you can adjust the "TitleBar Buttons: Horizontal Offset" in the Advanced Settings. More details on that setting are here: http://www.displayfusion.com/AdvancedSettings/#titlebarbuttons-horizontaloffset

Yeah I actually installed the trial before I made this post, so I got to use it and see what it had to offer (which was why I was so impressed)

Do you mind in showing me where the monitor locking feature is? I guess I over looked it. I had to turn off the titlebar functions because on the programs in question, they were interfering with the actual application's buttons.

Kind of the same deal with modal centering. I found the hotkey to move applications from display to display, but I just wanted the active modal window to be centered automatically without the need to constantly having to press a hotkey.

For those who don't need those 2 suggestions, DF seems to already have everything else they could want, and is well worth the money; but I've been looking around for any program than can do those 2 things specifically (and there are none), so if/when DF does do them, then on the verge I shall be no more.
