Thanks for the feedback, we'll definitely consider it! In the meantime, you can actually customize the delay time by changing the "Wallpaper: Startup Change Delay" option in DisplayFusion Settings > Advanced Settings. The default is actually 30 seconds, but you could change it to 1 second, so that the wallpaper will refresh as soon as DisplayFusion launches

Edit: the reason the auto-fix options are that way, is because the "Fix my wallpaper without prompting" option is a Pro only feature (sort of an upgrade to the "Warn me if my wallpaper needs adjusting" option)
That's clear now, thanks. I have enabled the options mentioned above and after a restart, the wallpaper update itself AFTER A WHILE with the same image, but the correct time So the fix is working as described in the change log.

That's definitely better, than it was before, since I don't have to wait to the next switch of the wallpaper image. I understand, however, that it was not possible to make the fix of the image DIRECTLY after booting up, so that, when the user sees the desktop for the first time, the image would be already correct?

It is just an idea - I am leaving it for your consideration ... What, if the application automatically replaces the current image with its "bare" version (without superimposed texts) ON SHUTDOWN. Then on startup, when the application takes control, it could rebuild the image with the correct superimposed texts. The advantage would be that there would not be 60 seconds or so, when the user sees an incorrect boot time However, if the settings are also using the User Name tag, then it is something to be replaced with each login, i.e. within a single Up-Time period of the computer. So, maybe this should be done on LogOff/LogIn instead?

Now about the options: Shouldn't they be reversed? It is not very logical to have an option, which tells "Warn me ...", which subsequently has a suboption "... without prompting". What about:
[ ] Fix my wallpaper, if required
[ ] Prompt, before a fix should be applied

Best regards,
Tomasz

I have just installed Beta4 on top of the previous official release (the application identified itself as Beta4 in the Tooltip). After a restart I was watching the time displayed on my wallpaper and unfortunately, I cannot confirm my issue to be fixed. The old time was displayed until DisplayFusion changed the wallpaper image - then the proper time appeared.

I am running a Dual Core laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system and 4GB of memory. The wallpaper images are stored locally.

I have set the Desktop Wallpaper properties, Image Info tab to display <sys-boottime>. I have noticed, however, that the date and time displayed directly after booting my laptop is wrong, in fact being the date and time of the prior booting (e.g. from yesterday). Only after some time (not sure, if it is at the next wallpaper image switch or just when DisplayFusion is fully started in sequence of processes to be started at boot time) it is changed to reflect the true boot-up time of the current boot.

If it is not possible to update the Image Info information truly at start-up, maybe you could display at startup the basic image (without the superimposed Image Info texts) and only when DisplayFusion is fully in control, the Image Info information would appear, showing the true info ...?

Currently, it has misled me a few times, before I realised that it was wrong
