There are 5 standard folder views (in Win7):

General Items
Music
Pictures
Documents
Videos

What would be great is the ability to reset all folders to their default view and then set all folders to a specific view selected from above.

For example, I currently use a script that resets all folders to their default view, then set all folders to General Items and then manually go specific folders like My Documents and set the appropriate view on these separately.

As this is to do with the appearance of the desktop I feel it is a good match for DisplayFusion.

Thanks

What are you currently using for this script? AutoHotKey? If you can attach the script, we might be able to convert it to a DisplayFusion Scripted Function :)

I manually run scripts to set as I like. See the attachment for further details. Thanks.

Ok, thanks! So basically you just want to combine the following into a single function?
  • Reset all folders to default view
  • Set all folders to general items
  • Set My Documents, My Pictures, My Music, and My Videos to their appropriate types

Let me know if that's correct and we'll write up a scripted function to do that :)

Thanks!

Thanks for offer but on reflection this would not be a frequently used feature. I am sure the time can be better spent elsewhere - the blurry wallpapers for example ;)
