On the Settings > Taskbar tab, disable the "Launch Start menu shortcuts on current monitor" option. Also make sure that "Move child windows..." is not enabled on the Settings > Window Management tab.

There actually isn't a reset to defaults button in the settings, but if you do an uninstall, you'll be prompted to do a "Complete" uninstall. Just click yes and that will remove all of the settings. You can then re-install with the defaults. If you're currently on a trial key, make sure to take a copy of the key from the Settings > License Key tab before uninstalling. If you lose the key, just let me know and I'll send over a new trial key
