The second monitor fading comes back to 0% opacity when I click on the background on the main monitor (same situation on Win10 and Win11 both up to date).

I was able to reproduce that here so we've added it to our list to look into.

thanks!

I just wanted to add that this is happening whether I use the Monitor Fading setting or the Toggle Monitor Fading function.

We've released a new beta that should fix this up, please let me know if you run into any issues after updating.

Thanks!

- If I click on an app window on the main monitor and then click on the background on the second monitor => the fading on the second monitor stop => OK

- If I click on the background on the main monitor and then click on the background on the second monitor => the fadings doesnt stop => Not OK

I can confirm this as well, plus, apps in the faded monitor are clickable and are drawn on top of the black background. I also see the cursor change where it would without the function.

I also just noticed that the function (under the functions tab) and the feature (under the Monitor Fading tab) are linked (when I change the hotkey on one, it changes it on the other one); is that new?

Which fading mode are you using?

I'm using the fading from the main menu : "Monitor fading" with all default values.

What I meant by this is the clickable layer of an app is clickable. So if I click somewhere on the faded screen, the app will react the same as if I could see it. The app itself is not drawn on top of the black background, only the clickable layer is.

Now, I'm only using the setting under the Monitor Fading tab.
