The second monitor fading comes back to 0% opacity when I click on the background on the main monitor (same situation on Win10 and Win11 both up to date).

I just wanted to add that this is happening whether I use the Monitor Fading setting or the Toggle Monitor Fading function.

Update on beta 9 :
- If I click on an app window on the main monitor and then click on the background on the second monitor => the fading on the second monitor stop => OK
- If I click on the background on the main monitor and then click on the background on the second monitor => the fadings doesnt stop => Not OK
Which fading mode are you using?

I'm using the fading from the main menu : "Monitor fading" with all default values.

My previous post was on Win11 25H2.
On Win10 last update, the Monitor fading doesn't work properly if there is no window open, just background... By clicking on the screen background the fading effect doesn't change.

I just intalled Beta 10. I wasn't able to reproduce the issue with clicking the background on the main monitor. When I do that, the fading remains as designed.
I was, however, able to reproduce what I reported in message #7 regarding clicking apps that are open on the faded monitor. When the cursor hovers over the app where the app changes the cursor, it still does that when fading is on. Plus, if I click, the app comes to the foreground. Also, the click is registered in the app.
For example, if I've got a browser open on that monitor, if I click on the faded screen where there is a link in the browser, the browser follows the link.
I also just noticed that if I click on the faded monitor in an area where there is no app, the fading disappears. Once I click on another app in the main monitor, it comes back.
Are there any logs I can send you when I reproduce the issue?
@DepressedOptimist Can you send me a video of the issue?
Are you on Windows 10 as well?

This is on Win 11 Pro 24H2 (26100.7462) using the newly installed DisplayFusion Pro 12 (Steam).
Here is a short video demonstrating the issue. Note that when the cursor is above the ChatGPT window on the second monitor, there is a click that isn't registered when I click there.

Thanks for sending that over, I was able to reproduce it here so we'll add it to our list.
@LucasFrance Are you able to send a video of your issue as well? Could you send a screenshot of your monitor fading settings?
@DepressedOptimist: We've just released DisplayFusion 12.0.1 and the issue from your video in post #16 should be fixed up. Please let us know if you still have any trouble.
Thanks!

Just installed 12.0.1. The fading issue I reported in #16 has been fixed.
The last thing that is an issue is that the mouse clicks are still clicking through the fading box (from post #14). I've attached a video of this issue.
In the first part, I'm showing that the cursor changes to the hand when hovering over one of the grey boxes, and I show what click on the grey box does. In the second part, I show that when the monitor is faded, I can still click through and the click is registered in my browser.
This is not specific to the browser.
By the way, thanks for fixing this. I use this particular function every day!
Glad to hear that's fixed up.
The monitor fading is just an overlay. Clicks will still be registered on windows on the faded monitor, that is expected.

I realize it is just an overlay, however, the click-through behaviour was not present before this issue presented itself in 11 beta 8.
Is there nothing that can be done to prevent this behaviour? I'm not familiar with this type of development, so this is a genuine question.
