Updated to the latest version of v2.2.0, now every time I go to start DisplayFusion, I get the following message:

"DisplayFusion has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I've uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted computer, and I get the same message every time. How do I fix this?

I am also having this problem. Did a fresh install on a new machine yesterday and it was crashing. Replaced it from an old distro - fine. This morning accepted the upgrade offer and back to crashing. NOTE TO SELF - Must only use stable versions. :-)

Oh no! This doesn't sound very good. :( Are you presented with any more information when it crashes? Any error codes or messages? Does the tray icon appear before it crashes?

Sorry, no more information observed. No error messages other than that listed by jadygurl and no tray icon seen.

Same here, no more information observed and no tray icon. :-( The image that chipili attached/posted is the same as what I receive when I try to launch DisplayFusion.

I update my computer on a regular bases, as it is stated in our work policy, so it is all up to date.

Can you both give the new DisplayFusion v2.2.1 a try? It should address this issue. You can find it here:

Thanks!

:-(

Same result even after a re-boot.

I'm still on 2.1.1

Oops, sorry. I meant give v2.2.1 a try (the one that was released just a couple of hours ago). I have edited my post above to correct the version number. Thanks!

My addition to confusion, I was trying to identify 2.1.1 as my working version.

2.2.1 crashes - for me at least.

What version of Windows are you using, and what Locale is it using? Also, do you have the latest .NET Framework 2.0? You can find the latest SP1 update on the DisplayFusion download page here:

chipili: Can you click the "Debug" button when it crashes and provide me with any more information? I haven't been able to reproduce any errors here yet, and any information you can provide from that would be very helpful.

Just reboot and exit DisplayFusion using the icon in the system tray (usually the bottom-right corner near the clock). Then try the installation and it should go smoothly. :)
