II just installed a new nVidia Graphics card GTX 650Ti and the software that goes with it and now DisplayFusion will not work at all. Any ideas? I really like this program. Seems that the nVidia software will manage more than one monitor but does not seem to work as well as DisplayFusion; or maybe I'm just not used to it yet.

Some nVidia cards come with software called "nView," which we've had customers report conflict with DisplayFusion. Could you check to see if that's installed, and if so, try disabling it?

Thanks!

Well there seems to be no way to totally disable nView. I can disable it for one monitor only by unchecking the box for the second monitor but I see no way to completely disable it. I tried unchecking the one, rebooted and reinstalled DisplayFusion but as soon as I start it I get the message that it has stopped working. This nVidia control panel is version 4.8.750.0.

It seems that nView is now totally integrated into the nVidia control panel with no way to disable it.

Ok, interesting. If it won't launch at all, it's possible that there might be an issue with the .NET Framework on your system. Could you try repairing it using the instructions on this page?

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2007/03/26/how-to-repair-the-net-framework-2-0-and-3-0-on-windows-vista.aspx

Basically, just run sfc /scannow from a command prompt.

Thanks!

You need to update your video card drivers @ www.nvidia.com . The latest driver package for Kepler (600 series) based cards is using control panel version 6.9.840.0. Your card should also perform far better with the latest drivers considering the control panel you listed more than likely came with a driver package that isn't even designed to work with Kepler based video cards.

If you are running 64bit version of Windows 7 or Windows 8, download here: http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/310.64/310.64-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-english-beta.exe

And if your windows 7 or 8 is 32bit... here: http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/310.64/310.64-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-32bit-english-beta.exe

I'm running a GTX 680 with the 64bit driver and DisplayFusion works perfectly except for an error having to do with hotkey combinations, so i turned that off.

Ok. It seems to be an issue with your Microsoft .Net Framework. You need to completely uninstall all .Net Framework software and then do a clean reinstall.

Directions and special cleanup utility can be found here: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/08/28/8904493.aspx

I had a similar issue with .Net a while back which prevented a program I was using to run properly. This should fix it.

@Andrew: Thanks for posting that link! Here's the direct link to the repair tool page: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/10/13/8999004.aspx. The other page also lists a cleanup tool, but only as a last resort.

Thanks guys for all your help. I finally got it working and not sure exactly but I believe it started working after I installed the newest MS upgrades, which included Net Framework upgrade or fix for the Net Framework.
Again much thanks for all your help. Glad to have it working again. I really missed the functionality of it.
