On my main monitor, the taskbar icons for Microsoft Edge Apps are app-specific. If I move an open app to my secondary monitor, the DF taskbar shows the generic Edge icon, not the app-specific icon.
[I'm using DF 11 beta 3. DF taskbar mode setting is: All taskbars show relevant windows]
UPDATE: I tested this with Chrome and Brave, and it works as expected (proper icons on second monitor). Doesn't work with Edge.

We were able to reproduce this on our end so we've added it to our list to look into. We'll let you know if we have any news on it going forward.
Thanks!

Not a big deal, but it still happens to me in 11.1.1 (Win11 24H2).
New FB Messenger (with the blue icon) has a generic Edge icon on my secondary monitors.
Thanks for letting us know, we'll open it back up on our list

The new beta release didn't help. :-/
Do you have the app pinned on the taskbar, or just running?

It's pinned on desktop #1 but opens on desktop #2. I've also opened an app on desktop #1 and moved it to desktop #2 and the icon on desktop #2 changes to the Edge icon.
If you pin it on desktop 2 and then close and re-open the window, does it have the correct icon?

Yes, it does. But if I then unpin it, it's back to the generic Edge icon.
I don't want to keep these apps pinned to the other desktop because sometimes I want them on desktop #1.
Okay thanks for confirming, we'll open this back up to have another look at
We've released a new beta with some further changes, can you try it out and let me know if the issue persists?

That fixed it, Owen. Thanks very much!

The problem has returned. Not sure if it started again with 12.0.2 beta 6 or beta 7.
We tested it here across a few machines and it still seems to work fine. These are the steps we're testing with, are you doing the same?
1. Open edge to a website (we are testing with nhl.com)
2. Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner
3. Head to More Tools > Apps > Install
4. When it creates it's own icon, before pinning, move the window to a DisplayFusion taskbar

I followed those steps and it's not working for me. Unless I specifically pin the app to the secondary taskbar, and not to the primary taskbar, it stays generic (whether I first move the app to the second monitor or not).
What version of Edge are you running?

I've tried the standard release (145.0.3800.17), the Dev Insider release (145.0.3800.10), and the Canary Insider release (146.0.3819.0). Doesn't work with any of them. It also doesn't work with Chrome.

Could you send me over a backup of your settings? You can grab them in the DisplayFusion Settings Window > General > Export Settings

Believe it or not, both Chrome and Edge got updated last night and now the app-specific icon is working again. My suspicion is that the source of the problem was (is) in Chrome, and Edge just picks it up as part of their refactoring.
That all said, I'm attaching my settings as requested. With that and the Inspector data, maybe you can see what was going on before the browsers got updated. Maybe there's something you can do to insulate DF from whatever this is (was).
As always, I appreciate your quick responses to customer feedback!

That's bizarre, glad to hear it's working though!
