Hi, I'm trying to figure out why I'm loosing video signal to my monitors as if video cables were disconnected. Is it possible DisplayFusion is doing this? I don't know, but looking to eliminate this from a possibility. I have a MSI RTX 2070 Super Gaming X video card running Windows 10 64bit Pro with latest updates. I have both monitors connected with display port cable. (a Dell 3011 Ultrasharp and LG 25 BL55WY-B). It's not a heat issue from what I can tell. I've never ocerclocked. I've not had time to game with this new PC built over the holidays. It's odd. I'll be webbrowesing, watching streaming content with Sling or Twitch or even YouTube and then all of a sudden it's like someone disconnected my video cables. This happens every so often, sometimes days, sometimes hours. I need to start logging it, but haven't. The only way I found to get signal again is to shut off the computer and reboot. Any thoughts? For now, to elimiante DF, I've quit the Display Fusion software and will see how long it takes before my video signals go dead again. So just looking if this is something that has happend before and if someone had a suggestion. Thanks.

Hi Brian,

Does this still happen when DisplayFusion isn't running?

Thanks!

I turned DF off when I made this post and haven't had it happen yet... yet. So I'm going to give it a bit more time before I pass DF as being the cause. I was just curious if it is a bug that's come up before before I move to trying to troubleshoot soemthing else. This is just one of the things I'm seeing if I can eliminate from the possibilities. -Thanks

Well... I guess I can eliminate Display Fusion as the cause now. My video card just stopped sending signal to my monitor again. This was the longest stretch yet. Almost 2 full days. Wonder what to try next... troubleshooting isn't as much fun as it once was when I use to love tinkering with PC hardware. Now, at 45, I just don't have time for this. I guess I'll put it on saturday's to do list.

@Brian: I hear you there! Especially when you troubleshoot issues all day, going home to troubleshoot more is definitely the bottom of the list

I would try a different power supply if you can, I've seen weird issues like that be caused by power supplies on their way out.

One other thing to check, I have a Samsung Odyssey+ VR headset, and for some reason if I leave that plugged in, my computer will start to do weird stuff, including hard locking, so if you've got any extra devices like that that you can disconnect temporarily, it's worth a try!

Thanks Kieth. I was thinking about swapping out the power supply first. That is deffinatly the cheapest and easiest part to replace... well, except for the cable management I worked so hard on. haha. If I come up with a solution, I'll try to add it here in case anyone else happens to run into the same issue and steps of troubleshooting.
