That's very strange! If you start DisplayFusion back up again, how long does it take to run up the CPU again?

Hey Jon as I test this stuff can you possibly post the last v6 full install link I can spin up in a VM. Is it 6.2? Not sure why I was thinking it was 6.1.3.

Thanks!

I actually see a recent post of 6.1.2, is that the latest v6? I swore there was a 6.1.3. When DF auto-updates, do the incremental installers it pulls down get cached? I suppose I can go searching too but let me know what latest v6 is and where I can grab that installer for testing!

Thanks!

6.1.2 was the latest version before 7.0. Here's the link: http://www.binaryfortress.com/Files/DisplayFusion/DisplayFusionSetup-6.1.2.exe

so... Here is a screenshot of system after DP running for 48 hours, and one without DP running

Strange! I can't understand why there are multiple explorer.exe processes. DisplayFusion doesn't start any explorer.exe processes anywhere in the code, so I'm not sure why those would be showing up. Does Deskscapes ever restart explorer.exe?

yes indeed so it seems. if you just pause deskscapes the second explorer disappears, when you unpause it it comes back.
here is with Deskscapes paused:

and here unpaused:

At this point the virus scanner is at full throttle so the high CPU is not DP related, it's not running

Ah ok, glad to hear it's not a DisplayFusion issue then! Weird that I couldn't reproduce that issue here when I tested Deskscapes though.

Anyway, please let me know if you still have any questions for me then :)

Happy New Year!
