Hi there,

I've noticed what seems to be a (unintentional?) regression from 3.0.3.

I'm routinely using full screen windows (Remote Desktop, VirtualBox Machines, etc) on my second monitor that houses my DisplayFusion TaskBar. Previously, I was able to change focus to a window that wasn't running full screen on that monitor and then place my mouse along the bottom of the screen to allow my auto-hidden DF TaskBar to display.

With 3.0.4 I'm unable to replicate this behavior. The DF taskbar will only popup as long as there are none of these full-screen windows on that monitor. Sometimes this involves minimizing up to 3-4 remote desktop sessions.

Is there a solution to this I'm not seeing or is the best option to revert to 3.0.3?

Thanks,
Jackson

Actually, I just confirmed this behavior on Windows 7 RC build 7000, using both VBox and RDP....

Good find.
I am I.

I got back to work today to see a new version available. 3.0.6

I've checked and the issue I reported in the first post still exists.

Just wanted to keep the topic updated.

Thanks.

Actually, this is by design and not a regression bug. :) The reason for this change is that some people want the taskbar to stay hidden behind their fullscreen apps (videos... etc) even when that app doesn't have focus. While some people, like yourself, want the taskbar to appear again once the app has lost focus. There isn't a "right" way to handle this, so I will be providing an option to toggle this behaviour in the next version. :)

That works, thanks!

This feature has just been added to the upcoming 3.1 release. I'm going to mark this topic as complete. :)

In an effort to cleanup the DisplayFusion forum, this topic is being locked and archived because it applies to an older version of DisplayFusion. If you are using the latest version of DisplayFusion and would still like some assistance, please create a new topic and I'll be happy to help you out. Thanks! :)
