When I enable "Force application to start on same monitor as Taskbar" on my taskbar shortcuts the application will start as expected on the correct monitor. Unfortunately when I launch the same application on my native Windows 7 taskbar it'll still open the application on the last monitor, not on the same monitor where my native Windows 7 taskbar is.

Is that behavior intended?

If so, is it possible to add a option to enforce the window location only once ( only when started via DF taskbar that has "force window location" enabled ) and don't remember after the application has been closed so I can start the same application on my native taskbar and it won't open on the last monitor ?

Unfortunately there's no way for us to force it to "forget" what monitor it was closed on, as it's Windows that is remembering the position when you close it.

However, if you only need to fix this for a few applications, you can do the following:
  • Create a Window Location rule to force the application to the monitor with the Windows taskbar
  • Create the shortcut on the DF taskbar and force it to open on that monitor

The taskbar shortcut will override the Window Location rule, so when you use the Windows taskbar, it will be forced to that monitor by the Window Location rule, and when you use the DF taskbar, it will be forced to that monitor by the shortcut's rule :)
