It took me a while today to figure out what exactly is happening as I was working with some programs and noticed that I accidently opened a few programs while moving a scrollbar that was pretty close to the taskbar.

After a couple of minutes "researching" the issue I've found that there is something wrong with the DisplayFusion previews - they're still somehow "clickable" even when they're already closed.

Keith, sorry to say that, but this time you won't get my usual two screenshots... :(
But I've got something better this time: A video! =)))

Edit:
Errr, why do I have two accounts here :S !?
-1 for alcohol abuse :(

This is unfortunately a side-effect of the method we use to detect whether or not a file is being dragged over top of a taskbar button. This behaviour can be changed by disabling the "Focus window when mouse is dragged over Taskbar button" option on the Taskbar tab in the DisplayFusion Settings. It's not ideal, but it's the only way we're able to do it at the moment :(

Edit: I can merge your two accounts, just send me a request here: http://www.displayfusion.com/Support/#contact. Make sure to list both email addresses, and which one you want to be associated with your account.

Thanks!

I am seeing something that may be related - if I have Virtual XP Mode open fullscreen on the second monitor, clicks on the small toolbar at the top of the screen cause the taskbar to pop-up over top of the virtual XP mode window - I don't think it should be responding to those clicks.

Keith,

I am not sure you are following what he means, but I am seeing the same thing, especially in Excel.

It makes Excel unusable because clicking near the taskbar in Excel causes a different program to be pulled to the front - e.g. trying to use Save As and when you select a drop down, another program jumps to the front.

This isn't a usable mode at all, so you might as well leave the option turned off if it can't be fixed.

@NetMage: Yeah, my bad. I had misunderstood the issue, but we ended up getting reports of similar issues from a couple of other customers as well, I just forgot to follow up here.

Could you guys try out 4.0 Beta 12 and let me know if you're still running into the same issues? It should be all fixed up.

Thanks!

A quick test with Excel and Beta 12 and I can't replicate - I will watch over it for a while.
