Hi I am trying to set up a monitor profile to switch my main monitor off and go to my Samsung TV as my main monitor and that works but the Refresh rate can't be set above 60hz (@1080P) it just resets back to 60hz when I switch it to 120Hz (The TV is capable of 120Hz @1080p using windows to change the refresh rate works)

Can you give this new beta and try and let me know if it helps at all? Thanks!

Ah, I have the same bug! Just tried this beta, the problem is still here.
Set 120Hz on TV display, apply: nothing happens other than a flash quicker than a normal refresh rate change, then it detects the current 60Hz and switches the slider back accordingly.

(Windows 10 64bits / NVidia Geforce 1070 with latest drivers, LG Oled TV)

Ok, thanks for the update! Keep an eye out for 9.6 Beta 2 in the coming weeks. We're making some more changes that should hopefully fix this up.

Hi, just to let you know I am having the exact same issue. On 4k TV i can put 1080p 120hz fine using windows settings, but with display fusion 120Hz is displayed, but when I click Apply, it goes only to 1080p 60Hz.

I want to set a game profile with 1080p 120hz and a regular profile with 4k 60hz for easy switching :P

Windows 10 Pro 1903 Build 18362.418
LG B8 OLED TV

Awaiting the mentioned fix in the coming weeks! :)

We're still working on this unfortunately. We made some good progress on it but ran into some roadblocks during testing. I don't have a specific ETA at the moment, but hopefully within the next couple of weeks we'll have a beta available for testing.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply.

In the meantime I've set up a custom function that launches nircmd with the parameters "setdisplay 1920 1080 32 120". Works like a charm!

Ok, here we go! We've just released 9.6 Beta 4. Could you give it a try and let us know how it works out? You may need to re-create your monitor profiles.

Thanks!

Still not working for me with 9.6 beta 5 :'(
Also to be noted: if the TV current mode is 2160p 60Hz for example, and I try to switch to 1080p 120Hz, the resolution doesn't change either.

@MisterP: Are you able to set 1080p 120 using the Windows display settings, or do you have to force it with the NVIDIA Control Panel?

When you're setting it with DisplayFusion, are you changing the resolution and the refresh rate at the same time? If so, what happens if you change the resolution first, click OK, then go back into the Monitor Config window and change the refresh rate to 120?

Hmm, actually I cannot reproduce the resolution + refresh rate change doing nothing, must have been something else on my end.
Changing the resolution works fine, for example 2160p60 > 1080p60.
But trying to set anything with a refresh rate over 60Hz goes to 60Hz instead.
I made a quick capture to demo what happens.

Thanks for the video! Is your TV connected through an AV receiver?

I am having the same exact problem. I have a profile setup for when I want to game on my TV. It is set to disable my desktop monitors, enables the TV display, change the resolution to 1080p and the refresh rate to 120Hz. Everything works except for the refresh rate which gets stuck at 60Hz.

The TV is a Samsung RU8000 55" plugged directly in my PC (GTX 1080 GPU) with HDMI.

Ok, thanks for confirming. We're going to do some more internal testing and see if we can't track down a solution to this issue. We'll post another update when we have more news.

Thanks!

One thing I noticed - When trying to change the resolution on the TV from the DisplayFusion monitor settings window, no matter what I change it to, the TV says it's receiving a 3840 x 2160, 60Hz (native resolution) feed.

So for example, if I set the TV resolution through Windows to 1080p (the TV will verify it's receiving 1080p), then try to set the resolution through DisplayFusion to say, 720p, upon applying the change the TV says it's receiving a 4k image 60Hz image. So it seems to just default it to the native resolution.

Maybe that's related to being stuck at 60Hz as the TV can only do 120Hz at 1440p and lower.

Just installed the beta 6, I can confirm that switching to over 60Hz with profiles now works!
HOWEVER, now I cannot change any refresh rate with the monitor configuration window. :'(
I get this message:

Code

An error has occurred while applying your new Monitor configuration.
Please check your settings and try again.
Error: Failed to call SetDisplayConfig. [HR: 1610]

Thank you for the error code, that's very useful. We'll have a new beta out in the next couple of days to address this and hopefully it will fix everything up! :)

Thanks!

Beta 7 fixed the error, but it's back to not being able to set above 60Hz in the monitor configuration panel.
It still works through the saved profiles though!
