Since the update my display fusion icon has disappeared. The little icon to switch between the two screen is not available anymore. On prior versions it was there but not now.

I am running Widows 10 64 bit

Can you someone please advise or look into this?

Thanks

On the DisplayFusion Settings > Functions tab, can you check that "Enable TitleBar Buttons" is enabled, and that the button is showing up in the preview at the bottom of the Functions tab?

Ok, could you attach a copy of the troubleshooting info from the affected machine? Here are the steps:
  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Copy to Clipboard" button
  • Paste the text into a text file (please don't paste the text directly into your reply, the formatting gets garbled and makes it difficult to parse)
  • Reply with the file attached

Thanks!

Thanks! Everything looks ok there. Could you try updating to the latest 8.0 Beta (https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta) to see if it makes any difference at all?

Thanks I just updated it and restarted my computer as well.
The icon starts but about 2-3 mins later it disappears. That's the strange part as it seems something is blocking it. I wonder if its the team viewer icon that I can see on all my page at the same position. Mind you it would have affected all the programs I have as its on all the windows. At the moment it seems that its only Adobe and this version that is affected on my pc.

I'm open to anything else. Do you get the same situation or do you think its another program affecting it?

Thanks

I'm not seeing that same behaviour here, no. If you exit TeamViewer so that the Quick Access button doesn't show up, does that make a difference?

If not, could you send a debug log? Here are the steps:
  • On the Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal"
  • Restart DisplayFusion
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time that the button disappeared so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

And there is the solution.....

I exited the Teamviewer and the icon is back and not going away without any reboot or shut down of Adobe. As a test I opened up multiple adobe files, moved them back and forth and no issues. I've even shut it down now and restarted without Teamviewer and its back.

I just made a decision to disable the Quick access from Teamviewer. Firstly I don't use it and secondly its in the way of the way of the most used and more important software (Display fusion).

If a solution does come let me know otherwise thanks for looking into this for me.

For v8 as its beta does it have bugs that I should reinstall v7 or is it ok to continue using as it s more stable?

Thanks

Ok, awesome, glad to hear that fixed it! You can actually move the DF TitleBar Buttons using the Horizontal Offset setting in the Settings > Advanced Settings window. You can also move the TeamViewer Quick Access button in its settings as well :)

8.0 Beta 4 is pretty stable, and actually better than 7.3.4 when running on Windows 10, so I'd recommend staying on it.

Thanks!
