I've set default playback sounds profiles to some of my monitor profiles, but recently Displayfusion doesn't recognize my audio devices anymore.

Tried re-installing Displayfusion without succes.

What can I do about this?

Thanks for sending that over. Could you update to our latest beta, and then send me over another copy? You can update through the DisplayFusion Settings > Options > enable "Check for new beta versions", and then click "Check for Updates Now".

Thanks!

Upgrading to the beta didn't solve the problem.

Here's the debug file.

Could you send me over a screenshot of your Device Manager Window, with "Audio inputs and outputs" expanded?

Thanks!

Thanks for sending that over. Could you also send me a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue (restart DisplayFusion) and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks!

I can't reproduce the issue because the audio devices aren't loaded into Displayfusion so I can't select them.

I've attached a L1 log after restarting my pc at 18:21

For some reason the problem has fixed itself.

The audio device are again recognised by Displayfusion.

The only reason I can think of what has solved the issue is using a tool DriverBooster to update the drivers of one of my audio devices.

I uninstalled the tool because it has to much bloat and even ad-services running in the background. Maybe the unistallation was the solution?

I've attached a L1 log. Maybe it's usefull for you to detemine the actual cause of the problem for future reference.

Thanks for Displayfusion and for your willingness to assist me with this problem.
Great support as I am used to from you guys.

Thanks for the update! We've added some more logging anyway, so if it happens again, just let us know :)
