I have 2 monitors in my office, and 1 TV in the next room. I'm using DisplayFusion to switch between these 2 setups:
First setup (for when I'm in my office):
Monitor 1: enabled, Set as primary
Monitor 2: enabled
TV: disabled
Audio output: Headphones
Second setup (for when I'm gaming on the TV):
Monitor 1: disabled
Monitor 2: disabled
TV: enabled, Set as primary
Audio output: TV
This works great, except that when I'm in my office, every 20-30 minutes or so, the screens freeze for a second then resume. I've narrowed it down to the TV trying to reenable itself and changing the audio output, but then DisplayFusion forces it back to disabled. I'm around 90% sure that's what going on at least, according to the event viewer.
So I've been thinking, is there a way where instead of flat out disabling and enabling monitors, I could just "lock" them? i.e. the cursor would not be able to traverse to it, and windows would not be able to open on this monitor? If every screen stays enabled at all times, I'm thinking it might fix my issue of the TV constantly trying to reenable itself.
Or do you have any other ideas of why this might happen, and what settings could help in DisplayFusion to prevent that?
Thanks!
